The National Motor Museum Redevelopment

We are embarking upon a comprehensive refurbishment of the National Motor Museum, to allow a re-display of the vehicle collection as well as enhancing visitor facilities, particularly for those with special requirements. It will also maximise space for exhibitions and the display of wider motoring archive material, currently housed within the museum’s Collections Centre.

The first phase of the re-development, is the construction of a mezzanine floor to link the first floor of the museum with the current Motorcycle Gallery, creating a whole new display space and much improved access for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Due to the refurbishment work, the vehicles on display in the Museum will be changing on a daily basis so if there is a particular vehicle that you wish to view please contact us on 01590 614541 in advance of your visit to ensure that it will be on display.
