We can assist with simple enquiries by post and by E-mail but for more complex research we recommend that you make an appointment to visit our Reading Room.
See the Enquiries Officer's Blog for some interesting motoring snippets »
For those wishing to undertake their own research using material to be found in the Motoring Archive, Photographic Collection and in our world famous Motoring Reference Library, an appointment can be made to visit the Collections Centre's Reading Room. For charges please see below.
Opening Times
Please note that the Reading Room will be shut for the week commencing 25 October 2010 for refurbishment. It will open as normal on Tuesday 2 November 2010.
The reading room is open by appointment only at the following times:
Tuesday – Friday, 10.00 – 13.00 & 14.00 – 17.00.
Closed between Christmas and New Year.
To make an appointment
Please email the Enquiries Officer Patrick Collins or call the appointments hotline 01590 614652 (this is an answer phone service for appointments only, not enquiries) or fax us on 01590 612655.
We do not operate a telephone enquiry service.
Our postal and E-mail based enquiry service will endeavour to answer questions about our Collections and about motoring history in general. We aim to reply to all enquiries within 28 days. For charges please see below.
Whilst we can assist with simple enquiries we do suggest a visit in person to the Reading Room for more complex enquiries and research.
