Ascot–Pullin Utility De Luxe

On Display

Winner of the 1914 Senior TT and a consistent record-breaker at Brooklands, Cyril Pullin designed the Ascot–Pullin in 1928, specifically for the utility rider. It incorporated many advanced features, such as a pressed-steel frame that totally enclosed the power-unit and final drive, hydraulic coupled brakes and a host of other refinements, including an instrument facia board and windscreen. Though impressive and innovative, the bike suffered from serious handling problems and poor sales. Ensuing financial difficulties caused the firm to close in 1930.
