Ford Escort RS Rally Car

The Ford Escort was one of the most successful rally cars ever built. It scored its first victory in 1968, going on to dominate rallying throughout the 1970s. It remains popular for club rallying to this day.
This car was especially prepared by David Sutton Cars Limited for Ari Vatanen to drive in the Lombard RAC Rally in 1981. Vatanen's second place enabled him to clinch the Drivers' World Rally Championship.
