First Gear - The Car and TV before Jeremy

Saturday 24th February, 2018

For over five years the National Motor Museum Trust's Film and Video Curator, Sarah Wyatt, and her team of volunteers have been exploring every nook and cranny in the collection. They have found undiscovered recordings of long lost TV shows including Drive In, Wheelbase, Motorfair, The Motor Show, Wheels and Wheeltracks.

Join Chris Goffey, long time motoring journalist and Top Gear presenter for over ten years, as he unveils some of these hidden gems. Expect cars, stars and commercials that have not been on our TVs for decades.

The evening will be held in the Lecture Theatre of the Collections Centre at 7.30 pm. The Museum will be open from 6.00 pm (at no extra charge). A pay bar will be available in the Collections Centre for the purchase of beers, wines and soft drinks.

Tickets are £7.50 for members of the Friends of the National Motor Museum, £10.00 for non-members.

To purchase tickets for this event please send remittance to Theresa Browning, Friends’ Secretary, National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, Hampshire, SO42 7ZN (cheque made payable to National Motor Museum Trust). Alternatively please call Theresa on 01590 614792 or email friends@beaulieu.co.uk
