The Fowler Album

This outstanding leather-bound album from the early 1900s, depicts Fowler Steam Engines. It has recently been catalogued by a team of volunteers and staff, making it available for viewing for the very first time.

Experimental special Siege Engine 8nhp, vertical boiler, single cylinder, made by Fowler for military trials at Shoeburyness in 1879. Although successful in the trials it was not put into production as Parliament would not agree to the expenditure at the time of economic depression.
